Texas Association for Home Care and Hospice (TAHC&H) experts, including leaders of Madison Family Companies, recently took part in a well-coordinated March on Washington focused on advancing critical reforms in home health, Medicare Advantage, and veteran’s home care.

The group visited 26 congressional offices, bringing firsthand experience and personal stories to lawmakers and staff on policy issues that significantly affect vulnerable Texans. Equipped with TAHC&H’s federal priorities and real-world perspectives, participants urged Congress to act on several key issues:

· Ensure proper and adequate reimbursement for Medicare home health services

· Ensure fair, prompt Medicare Advantage payment, and remove barriers to home health access

· Protect rural veterans’ home-based care by restoring VA home health Aide/Homemaker rates and hours
